Please note that the two SQL/R product options above are licensed separately.
The SQL/R A.04.20 release implements the following enhancements.
- Support for the Eloquence B.08.40 license server.
The license file may be used to specify an Eloquence license server
instead of a specific license key. For more details refer
to the License server document.
- New license keys format and automatic installation of license keys.
For more information, please refer to the license key
documents.
- The sqlictool utility allows to
automatically obtain and install SQL/R license keys.
- The distribution was simplified and no longer includes the

ODBC driver backwards compatibility
The SQL/R A.04.20 ODBC server is fully backwards compatible to previous ODBC drivers. Consequently, updating the ODBC server side to A.04.20 server does not require updating all clients. The SQL/R A.04.20 client / ODBC driver is not backwards compatible with the historic SQL/R A.02.xx server versions. As a workaround the backwards-compatible A02 network protocol option may be specified for the driver. The recommened approach is to update the server to a supported version.
